I am a data processing professional since 1968, American, currently living in Bergen Norway. Passionate about a conference called r!OOts (Recent Object Oriented Trends) that I have started over here loosly modeled on OOPSLA (as I remember it) and other inspirations. r!OOts is non-academic, small (less than 300 participants) and great fun. I have written a PL about creating this conference, which I hope may be helpful to others.
